Heat.

What do you know about Queen? Not much for me until yesterday! I'm almost convinced that Freddie Mercury is a damn musical genius. He took graphic design in school and did this:

Anyways, so Seth and I went to catch Queen: We Will Rock You (the musical) yesterday. IT WAS A FUCKING GOOD TIME, I TELL YOU. Worth the three hours my ass on that comfy Esplanade seat.

SERIOUSLY a good time, the music was FABULOUS. The live musicians were all so young and good looking!

They were the real stars of the show man!

And plus, they gave us light sticks! I think they would rather give out lighters (for those sentimental moments) but how la, burn down the place isit.

Seth's dad gave us the complimentary tickets. But, I DIDN'T EXPECT THAT HIS DAD WOULD BE COMING FOR THE SHOW! Had a cold sweat moment, but his dad is cool I guess. My dad's still more handsome =)

This is the Killer Queen (left) the so called villain of the show. And on the right is Galilleo Figaro (a lyric from Bohemian Rhapsody) who is the hero! If you watched Rockstar:INXS you'd recognise him as Mig Ayesa, a contestant. His voice was....... *jaw-drops*

It helped that he was a good looker, heh. Look at that body man! His voice is just plain awesome awesome awesome. I watched the YouTube Rockstar:INXS videos, and they do NO JUSTICE to his real live voice.

When I watched the musical Sweeney Todd online, I wasn't at all convinced that the actors can sing live THAT well. Now I am. These Broadway singers are a force to be reckoned with. They can act AND sing man.

Anyways, while we were there, we saw A LOT of artistes. Jade Seah was pretty! And DJ Rozalyn, who SHAVED HER HEAD, gotta love her. Has-been Joakim Gomez (Singapore Idol) and never-been Paul Twohill. Then Gurmit Singh. And Sharon Au. And the Mediacorp couple who stars in the jewellery commercial. And some others lah.. Starstruck until we saw they were all one clan like that, getting the first row seats.

Getting back to the musical..

They added in some local jokes! Like his suit wasn't Armani but "from Bugis Street". Haha.

Then there was a part where they made fun of Dick Lee. And the best part is, DICK LEE WAS SITTING DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF US! Hahahahah!! Those sitting around us were staring at laughing at him la! Haha!

I'm so addicted to Queen music right now. Like how I went ga-ga with Sweeney Todd the last time. Haha. Freddie Mercury died of an Aids-induced disease at the age of 45, on 24th November 1991. Nice.. So sad la, waste of talent. At least it wasn't some bull like "accidental drug overdose" or "self-inflicted gunshot wound". He fucked his way to death. With his boyfriend, that is.

I'm so in love with the musical. It was a great fun time though it was such a stress to know that Seth's dad was sitting on the row behind us...... -_- Haha. I still enjoyed myself! Thanks for that Seth, MWAHS!

The end, what a blast! No doubt my favourite song was the finale: Bohemian Rhapsody. I still have my light sticks with me. Heh. Everything was worth the 10 min standing ovation. =) Ciao!
